Some Enchanted Evening: Opera Classics and Songs From the Shows

Kleine Opera’s inaugural production was a spectacular success: an Opera Gala at St Mark’s Church, Dunham Massey. The church commissioned Kleine Opera to create a fundraising event that would celebrate music while supporting the upkeep of their beautiful village landmark.

For this special occasion, we carefully curated a programme tailored to the church’s elegant and welcoming setting. Our repertoire featured a delightful mix of Opera Classics and Songs from the Shows, offering something for both seasoned opera lovers and newcomers alike. The result was an evening that combined musical excellence, charm, and accessibility in equal measure.

The gala was a sold-out triumph. Audiences were captivated by the rich performances, and the warm, intimate atmosphere of St Mark’s Church made the evening feel truly special. Thanks to the generosity and enthusiasm of attendees, we were able to raise over £1,000 for the church, helping to support its ongoing preservation and community initiatives.
